Inspired by the compassion and generosity of the South African community in this crisis, I have created a children’s e-book to be freely distributed. With the help of the Big Five Friends, “The Big Five Feelings and the Sneaky Bug” tracks how the world may have changed for a child as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. For all of us – big and small – this uncertain time evokes various emotions. This story hopes to assist children and their grown-ups to understand what behaviour and development could be telling us about a child’s emotional and internal world in this challenging time.
